It has now been brought to our notice that the new resumption date for all Private and Public Secondary Schools is 24th of September, 2018. This was made known to the general public by Ekiti State Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Jide Egunjobi
He said:
The Ekiti State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology hereby wishes to inform the general public, especially the returning students that the schools' long holiday has been extended by one week.
Consequently, Schools across the State would resume on *Monday, 24th instead of Monday, 17th September, 2018* . The extension of the holiday was to allow the schools conduct interviews for fresh students across the State and equally allow for proper consolidation of the school system before the resumption of pupils and students.
All parents, guardians and other stakeholders in the education sector are hereby enjoined to take note of the extension and disseminate this information appropriately.
Let it be equally noted that all stakeholders in the sector concerning the slight change in the academic calendar had been notified accordingly.

On this note, The school therefore expect all Acting Prefects to resume on Friday 21st while boarding students will resume on Sunday 23rd.
